DR MINOKA JAYATILEKE
Principal GP

Dr Minoka Jayatileke is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She completed her medical degree at the University of Colombo. Early in 2001 she migrated to Australia, where she completed her internship at Westmead Hospital.

She completed her FRACGP training with the GP Logic Central West NSW in 2008.

She has furthered her training in her interests, with qualifications for paediatrics (Diploma of Child Health from University of Sydney),

Since then, she has worked in group practices in Bathurst, Dural, Rouse Hill, Kellyville and Cherrybrook prior to starting her own practice in Thornleigh.


Minoka enjoys all aspects of general practice including general medicine, women’s health, elderly care and paediatrics.

DR LAKMINI GUNARATNE
GP

Dr Sandarenu Lakmini Gunaratne, a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, has been practicing general practice in Sydney for years.

 

She has completed a Diploma of Child Health and has fond interest in looking after the health and wellbeing of the paediatric population.  She also enjoys all other areas of medicine General Practice has to offer, with special interest in general medicine and women's health. She is trained in Implanon insertion and removal.  Dr Gunaratne is passionate about delivering quality care to each of her patients.

DR RUMANA NUSRAT HUSAIN
GP

Dr Rumana Nusrat is a General Practitioner and has been practicing medicine for over 15 years. Dr Rumana has achieved her clinical experience by working in General Practice and Hospital based medicine in Australia and Bangladesh. She has obtained her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) and MPH (Masters In Public Health) from Bangladesh. Dr Husain gained hospital based experience from Gosford, Royal North shore , Blacktown , Nepean and Ryde hospitals.


Dr Rumana Husain is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Her special interests include Women's Health, Aged Care, sexual & reproductive health (Implanon Insertion and removal), Mental Health, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Chronic Disease Management, Skin diseases  and Preventive Health.


Dr Rumana Husain is vigilant about continuous care and health outcomes of the patients. Her hobbies include Music,Painting, Song writing, Travelling, Reading. She loves cooking and spending time with her family and friends.


Dr Rumana can speak fluent English and Bengali. 

DR JENNIFER BROWN
GP REGISTRAR

Dr Jennifer Brown is our new GP registrar for 2023. Jennifer starts her consulting in February 2023 and will be working Monday to Friday.

Jennifer has worked in a variety of health roles including nursing and public health, before embarking on a career in medicine. She has general practice and hospital experience including two years at Hornsby Hospital working rotations in Emergency, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Palliative Care, General Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Jennifer is originally from NZ, and outside of work she lives an active lifestyle with a passion for outdoor activities. For appointments with Jennifer please book online via our website or call our friendly staff on 8287 3400.

Dr JOHN PEMBROKE
GP Registrar

Dr John Pembroke is a GP registrar in the Nepean, Western and Northern Sydney region. After graduating in medicine from the University of New South Wales, he  worked as a resident medical officer at Hornsby Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital, Mona Vale Hospital and The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

 

Dr Pembroke has experience in general medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine, paediatrics, geriatrics, palliative care and women's health to name a few. He also completed the Sydney Child Health Program diploma. He enjoys all types of medicine with special interests in paediatric and aged-care medicine.

 

In his free time, he enjoys bushwalking, playing drums and spending quality time with his wife, family and friends.

DILHAN JAYAMANNE
Physiotherapist

Dilhan graduated from the University of Sydney in 2003 and has since excelled in the field of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy. He further added to his skill-set by attaining a Master of Manual Therapy at the University of Western Australia.

 

Having worked extensively in private practice and gaining exposure to a wide variety of conditions Dilhan prides himself on accurately diagnosing one’s problem and tailoring an individualised treatment approach to achieve their goals.

 

He predominantly uses a ‘hands-on’ approach to treatment and exercise based therapy in order to resolve the symptoms as well as addressing the cause of the underlying problem.

Nina graduated from the University of Sydney in 2014 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (hearing & speech major) followed by a Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced studies) in 2017.

 

Shortly after graduating, she joined our team in 2018. Nina has since pursued her interest in primary health care nursing, working with patients from a wide range of demographics. She is dedicated to bringing tailored care for each patient she meets.   

JUN PARK
Podiatrist

Jun is a dual qualified practitioner - Physiotherapist and Podiatrist in AHPRA

He graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2016 with a Bachelor of Podiatry and graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2020 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. 

Jun offers a range of podiatry services. He is passionate about providing care for all age's foot pain, toenail care, fungal infection, and musculoskeletal disorders in the lower limb.
